Electro-Mechanial Maintenance Engineer


Salary: £21000 - £25000
Location: Gloucester
Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Engineers - Glos £21-25k + 30% Shift Premium. 37.5 hour week. (Overtime payable)

Our client require new engineers to join their current team - the role will involve the following:

- To work as part of small maintenance team without supervision reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.

- Attending breakdowns as number 1 priority, getting equipment up and running in shortest time possible to correct safety and quality standards. Carrying out work after production to ensure fault don't reoccur.

- Identifying and carrying out improvements to equipment to improve quality and or efficiency

- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on equipment and site facilities

- Maintaining site services e.g. heating, water system, drainage, security

- To get involved in any other projects/improvements as necessary

Essential skills/experience:

- Minimum HNC in related discipline.
- PLC interrogation, modifying programmes (Omron CX-programmer
Mitsubishi GPP-Win)
- Experience and understanding of Robotics Programming( Nachi,Motoman,Fanuc systems )
- Experience in Mitsubishi servo drives / controllers – configuration.
- Pneumatics / Hydraulics (SMC Equipment)
- Electrical installations 16th Edition Regs. & safety circuit wiring.
- Resistance welding techniques: understanding and programming of
equipment for welding.

Person profile:

- Enthusiastic- Must react to breakdowns and requests for help positively
- Willing to learn on own initiative- specialist training courses will be provided but will be expected to put theory into practice and also learn by reference to manuals, contacting equipment suppliers and shadowing existing staff
- Must be fully conversant with PLC / Robotic programming / interrogation.
- Patient- when problems occur to explain route cause to operators clearly
- Approachable- operators, team leaders, managers must feel person is approachable and will carry out requests.
