Salary: Up to £25k Dependent on Experience

Assistant Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing - S. Wales
Our client based in South Wales currently have a new opportunity withing their quality department due to the expansion of their business.
The role will involve; monitoring and improving quality and food safety in a High Care Environment.
This person will be esponsible for insuring that quality procedures are met to ensure the food safety of the product and in keeping with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Main duties will involve:
Control quality in production
Ensure that GMP is understood and met
Internal auditing the processes and production
Carrying out daily Taste Panel with production
Ensure that all CCPs are controlled
Environmental swabbing
Understanding business needs and improving the practiced to achieve this, with Production.
Support the Company Quality Policy
Meet Health and Safety requirements
The key skills required are:
Able to work independently with confidence
Practical experience, preferably within chilled food process environment
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
Intermediate Food Hygiene
Detailed knowledge and experience of HACCP
Knowledge and experience of Microbiology
Understanding and experience in Taste Panel
Experience in swabbing
Internal auditing
Customer Specifications
External Audit experience e.g. BRC
