Principal / Associate Ecologist - Office Manager

This successful independent ecology consultancy is looking to expand across the UK by opening another office to serve clients in different regions. Head office is in Gloucestershire so ideal locations would be London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Leeds, although they are open to other locations also.
The position will require a highly experienced ecologist from a consultancy background, with in depth experience of managing both in-house consultants and teams of subcontractors; as well as have a strong track record for winning new projects and delivering as per the clients’ requirements.
You will be responsible for setting up a brand new office (with full internal resource support from head office), recruiting your team of consultants and managing projects both existing and new.
Licenses such as great crested newt or bat would be a distinct advantage, however the surveying work is generally subcontracted out so it is not a prerequisite. A degree in Ecology, Biology or Environmental Science is essential, and full membership of IEEM is preferred.
