Design Engineer, PV Systems
Salary: To be agreed
Location: London
This solar energy company designs and supplies solar systems for domestic and commercial buildings, with an overall aim of reducing carbon emissions and fighting climate change. They are passionate about clean energy and improving the world we live in.
You will be working within a team of design and installation engineers for PV and SHW systems, supporting sales and project management staff with innovative designs and an adaptable approach to solving problems.
You will be responsible for everything from initial size and yield estimation through to detailed design for construction. Skills needed include PV, electrical, structural and mechanical engineering, and you will be using CAD on a regular basis so familiarity is a must.
Education and skills
BSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Structural Engineering essential
AutoCAD 2D Mechanical renewable power system design, mechanical design, electrical design, structural design essential
Experience of designing PV systems for domestic and / or commercial buildings
Some European language ability would be useful (not essential), as you will be supporting teams in France, Italy and Spain as well as the UK.
