Electrical Engineer, Developer PV

Location: London
This solar energy company designs and supplies solar systems for domestic and commercial buildings, with an overall aim of reducing carbon emissions and fighting climate change. They are passionate about clean and renewable energy, and improving the world we live in.
They are launching a new team to expand the company’s ability to source, procure and develop electrical system elements for Photovoltaic Systems. The focus of the team will be on inverters in particular, plus remote monitoring equipment and safety switching, with a view to providing a complete package to solar installers as the customers.
Experience, skills and qualifications
BSc or Beng Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) essential
IET Membership desirable
Experience of working with inverter architecture and electrical systems
In depth understanding of AC&DC circuits
Experience of single phase or three phase converters (variable frequency motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies, power levels 500W – 100Kw)
Knowledge of current legislation: EMC, RoHS, WEEE
