Production Manager - Somerset £28 - 35,000
Our client based in Somerset have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to head their team within a small, and well reputed 'service led manufacturer' based in Somerset.
This is a Hands on role and you will need to have a strong knowledge of CNC Equipment.Possibly you will have managed a Machine Shop environment and be happy working for a small yet very successful company.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
To control the production function of the company
To ensure effective production scheduling
To control stock levels within the company
To assist in the sales function of the company
Job Accountabilities:
To produce drawings and estimates in coordination with the Technical and Sales Director
To ensure optimum manufacturing efficiency and product quality including to meet health and safety and product liability requirements
To ensure production targets and deliveries are met within allocated budgets.
To ensure adequate staffing levels to achieve output agreed with Technical Director.
To ensure receipt of necessary information from estimating department.
To ensure job instructions , drawings and materials are available and issue jobs to the shopfloor and that order acknowledgements are produced.
To ensure staff are adequately trained to carry out their duties and that training records are maintained.
To review production plant and machinery and recommend changes where necessary
To ensure company meets Health and Safety requirements and that any failures are reported to the Managing Director.
To ensure recording and reporting of maintenance, repairs and renewals requirements and that authorised maintenance is carried out in a timely fashion.
To produce a monthly report on performance of the production department .
This role requires a self motivated, dynamic individual with extensive production management experience from within a service led manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of CNC machining techniques, working with wood and acrylic materials for bespoke projects would be ideal.
