Solar Power Branch Manager
Salary: £28-33,000 plus benefits
Location: Bristol
A successful solar power installations company is looking to expand its branch network by recruiting a successful manager to build up the business. Their main business is the installation of solar thermal and solar electric systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients
The ideal candidate will need an understanding and experience in building works, sales and renewable technologies (particularly Solar PV and Solar Thermal) along with previous experience in managing a sales and operations team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Overall responsibility for building, leading and developing the team
· Overall responsibility for management of the branch
· Overall responsibility for branch financial control and targeting to £1m this financial year.
· Overall responsibility for branch Health and Safety compliance
· Overall responsibility for branch legal compliance
· Oversee job scheduling
· Maintain relationships with key commercial clients and deliver sales for the branch
· Ensure all staff are managed and motivated to meet the company mission statement
· Ensure compliance with Quality Management systems
· Liaise with the managing director and ensure the branch is in line with company wide policy
· Set sales order and invoice targets for branch staff
· Manage branch HR function
EXPERIENCE
· Strong team building and leadership skills
· Experience of management in a construction, installation or service related business.
· A proven track record in sales to domestic and/or commercial clients
· Proven ability to manage a budget
· Practical experience of general plumbing, electrical and building works
· Knowledge of solar thermal and electric systems
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
· Excellent social and communication skills
· Excellent writing and presentation skills
· Management and leadership training
· Degree level qualification 2.2 or above
· Financial control training
· Health and Safety training
· Sales training
· CSCS supervisor card
