This leading Utilities Company in South Wales are looking to appoint a Senior Buyer to manage their E-Procurement systems and streamline processes within the business.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be heavily involved with stakeholders both internal and external, managing the purchasing process from beginning to end whilst ensuring a significant contribution to the company’s cost reduction targets.
Responsibilities will include:
· Using the company’s E-Sourcing system
· Evaluating bids, producing tender documentation and contracts
· Negotiating contracts, pricing structures and ensuring contribution to cost reduction targets
· Producing reports and statistics regarding progress, continuous improvement, market analysis and growth; presenting findings to the Board
· Liaising with internal departments to ensure a smooth running operation, eg Finance for payment systems
Essential experience:
· In depth Procurement / Purchasing / Buying experience
· Understanding of financial, programming and e-Sourcing systems
· Strong Commercial and contractual awareness
· Analysis of figures and producing reports
· Decision making
· Excellent negotiation and networking skills
· CIPS membership would be advantageous although not essential for the role.
